A Valentine’s Day Sight

Shakespeare said it perfectly: “When birds sit brooding in the snow, and all aloud the wind doth blow,” in his Love’s Labors Lost.

Not your typical Valentines Day quote is it?🤓

But that’s what came to mind when I looked out the window near our birdbath and birdfeeder.

With below 0° temperatures and fresh snow, the birds kept close to food. All sorts of birds: blackbirds, cardinals, chickadees, and more.

They seemed so convivial in their numbers and fluffiness, in spite of the cold. The cardinal here in the painting seemed an appropriate touch on this Valentine’s Day!

May your hearts burn with love of Beauty!

Thanks for reading and looking!
