Our family dog is a regal English mastiff. His name is Mishka.

Here he is with crossed paws looking gravely at the viewer, as if to say “Why hello my people.”
This is how he usually looks, except his head is a little too big on top in the painting. This is his posture when he has placed his royal self in the kitchen, waiting for scraps.

This picture was painted on a card in honor of my parents 34th wedding anniversary. It was to accompany our gift to them.
The gift was a collection of money to redo our floors. We all love Mishka and so it seemed clever to have him on the floors, waiting gravely for a new floor.

I hope you enjoy!

That’s a lucky dog to have you paint pictures of him.

Hahah, indeed, Dale! His regalness demanded it.
