Where Eagles Dare

Of all places, in the middle of Kansas! 

At Lake Shawnee, in Topeka, just by the western edge, across from the golf course you can catch sight of a huge eagle’s nest. It’s very visible, held in the arms of a

I saw the bald eagle flying, and bent my head back to my “deep work.” 

A moment later, I looked up and glanced over the water, just in time to see the eagle swoop down over the water, catching something in it’s talons.

What a sight! It really lifted my heart to see, and I couldn’t help thinking of Psalm 103:5:

“Thy youth shall be restored as an eagle.”
