We have the Light, and that is enough.
And though all light come from one Source, it shows up in many ways.
Not all light is visible.
Knowing that you also tread forth in the darkness keeps the fire burning in my heart,
Fuels the spirit of keeping on, keeping on.
Knowing a fellow pilgrim also treads up a neighboring hill, hidden in the darkness, his Lantern lighting his footsteps -that is enough.
So many of these steep hills stretch across the night-cloaked land and the high dark dome, all throughout time.
And there go we, each with our lanterns bobbing like fireflies in the night sky.
If you can make your way, one step at a time,
Then so can I.
Updates:
Currently I am trying to show up and write and draw a little everyday, and nourish myself with good reading and pictures. If I can do that, my day is meaningful and feels successful.
Outside of the daily grind with the day job, I am trying to juggle a lot! I am using my long commute and time teaching as an experience from which I create a sort of travel journal. I am excited to be in the midst of a mentorship with The Illustration Department, a Global Leader in online education for all those interested in the illustrating and publishing world. I also have several commission projects I am juggling while receiving help from a local group to further grow my business.
Sometimes we need to look to others for nourishment and support. The book below has been a just that, and a thoroughly reassuring and entertaining read. If you like writing and insight into an author’s life, Stephen King’s memoir of his craft is sure to please.

A Question for You: Who is a light to you and fuels you on when your hill is hard and the nights are long?
Thanks so much for reading this week!
